Seidner's Collision Centers contribute $10,000 to CREF

Feb. 5, 2014
Seidner's Collision Center donated $10,000 to CREF to support high school and college collision school programs, instructors, and students across the country.
Seidner’s Collision Center has donated $10,000 to the Collision Repair Education Foundation to assist the charitable organization’s efforts to support high school and college collision school programs, instructors, and students across the country. To answer the industry’s need of skilled entry-level technicians, only through industry donations can the Education Foundation provide additional support to these school programs.
Seidner’s Collision Center Vice President Steve Seidner stated, “It is important that we as an industry continue to support this worthy cause every year. Finding technicians is difficult in today’s market and will become even more challenging as vehicles become more advanced. I would like to challenge the entire collision industry to step up and assist the Collision Repair Education Foundation so they can continue to recruit and help educate our future technicians. The Education Foundation has the ability to reach students that we can’t as individuals therefore promoting the many opportunities within the collision industry. As we all know, most students aren’t thinking about the collision repair industry as a profession and the Education Foundation can help get our message out in the right places.”

Collision Repair Education Foundation Executive Director Clark Plucinski noted, “I would like to thank Seidner’s Collision Center for their generous donation and would encourage other repair facilities to follow their lead in donating in supporting the Collision Repair Education Foundation. It is only through the industry support that we can take a more active role in ensuring that students graduating from high school and college collision school programs are productive and efficient entry-level staff for the industry. Industry support can help provide these programs with needed tools, equipment, supplies, instructor training, and much more. Seidner’s stepping up to make this donation is a great example of how the industry can help support its future through the Education Foundation.”
