Alan Mulally, president and chief executive officer for Ford Motor Company, will help kick off the 2007 Greater Los Angeles Auto Show by delivering the keynote address at the Motor Press Guild (MPG) Breakfast and Keynote Address on November 14, 2007. The breakfast and Mulally's keynote address are open to all credentialed media attending the show's press days.

Prior to joining Ford Motor Company in September 2006, Mulally was executive vice president of The Boeing Company and president and chief executive officer of Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

"By this fall, Mulally will have been at the helm of Ford for more than one year, so the timing is perfect to hear his thoughts on the state of the automotive industry and the direction of Ford Motor Company," said Matt Stone, executive editor of Motor Trend and MPG Keynote Address Committee Chairman.

This will mark the eighth year that the MPG Breakfast and Keynote Address has opened the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show press days. MPG is comprised of approximately 800 automotive journalists and public relations professionals nationwide. MPG is the largest automotive press association in the country.

The 2007 Greater Los Angeles Auto Show opens with two press days (November 14 & 15) and then opens to the public from November 16 through November 25 for the general public. For the first time, the final public days of the show will take place during the four-day Thanksgiving holiday. Last year the show moved from its traditional early January dates to the November dates and the change resulted in a record 36 world and North American vehicle debuts and record media attendance and news coverage from around the world.
