LOS ANGELES -- Total Seal pioneered the Gapless Piston Ring more than 40 years ago and has been perfecting it ever since in a constant effort to improve horsepower.

Total Seal's 2-piece Gapless Piston Rings seal the end gap with the secondary rail, virtually eliminating "blow-by." This design provides both an increase in horsepower and torque along with a wider torque curve, company officials report.

There is less friction associated with these rings, which not only adds to the horsepower gain, but also promotes longer engine life and fewer teardowns. These rings provide for cleaner and cooler engine oil along with better oil control. Plus they feature an increased intake signal and more engine vacuum. They are available in both patented Top or 2nd-Ring applications.
