Superchips Cortex Includes Ford, GM, Dodge/Chrysler Coverage

The Superchips Cortex comes with the capacity to program up to three performance tuning levels to enhance power, economy, and drivability. These features include the ability to save factory settings; program for performance, towing, or economy; tune transmission settings for improved drivability; read and clear diagnostic trouble codes; adjust speed and RPM limiters; and recalibrate speedometer/odometer for tire and gear swaps. There is even a data acquisition software package available via Internet download, that allows users to save and log data to better understand vehicle performance.

Users gain up to 119 RWHP horsepower and up to 240 lb.-ft. torque in certain applications depending on the vehicle and Cortex calibration chosen, according to company representatives. The Cortex is essentially never out of date. Superchips encourages regular updating of the Cortex via the Internet. OEMs release new calibration files for certain vehicles on a fairly regular basis. Superchips re-engineers calibrations with the latest OEM information and makes them available at no cost to the customer.

The Cortex comes with a two-year limited powertrain warranty with every programmer at no additional cost.

Superchips' Cortex product line currently consists of three part numbers covering a broad range of cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans - one part number for all Ford applications (e.g. gas cars, F-Series gas and diesel trucks, and SUVs), one for all GM family applications, and one for all Chrysler/Dodge applications. The Ford product Cortex began shipping in mid-September, followed by GM family support in October, wrapping up with Dodge/Chrysler in mid-December.
