LOS ANGELES - From its SUV comfort and ingenious mid-gate, to its flex-fuel-capable and cylinder deactivation technology-equipped engine, the 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche delivers a combination of cargo and passenger options. Now, Avalanche owners can further enhance their driving experience with the addition of a high-performance exhaust system from CORSA Performance Exhausts.

The CORSA Performance Chevrolet Avalanche system provides a quiet, pleasing exhaust tone at cruise, while delivering a powerful sound under throttle.

CORSA engineers dynamically tuned the Avalanche system utilizing the company's patented Reflective Sound Cancellation (RSC) technology. RSC passively eliminates annoying cabin resonance and unwanted drone without disrupting exhaust flow. The result is straight-through, non-restrictive exhaust flow with sound that is bold when you want it to be and quiet when it needs to be.

And the new CORSA exhaust maintains its ability to provide just the right "note," even as the Avalanche's Vortec 5.3-liter V-8 engine with Active Fuel Management technology seamlessly switches between eight- and four-cylinder modes.

"Like many of Chevy's new trucks, the 2007 Avalanche is equipped with the new cylinder deactivation-equipped engine to save fuel. Our patented RSC technology can adapt to the changes in sound frequency that go along with the engine's changes in cylinder usage. Our exhaust produces a great sound whether it's running on eight or four cylinders," said Ed Burgy, automotive product manager, CORSA Performance Exhausts. "We've already got a great following among the Avalanche owners clubs, so we anticipate the enthusiasm to grow even more once they hear our latest offering."

In addition to its sound optimization characteristics, the new CORSA Avalanche exhaust system provides a 74 percent gain in flow when bench tested against the stock muffler, 14 additional horsepower and 15 lbs. per ft. gain in torque.

The CORSA Avalanche exhaust system is available in two tip configurations:

Single side exit with twin Pro-Series 4.0-inch tips.
Single side exit with hydroformed oval tip.

Like all CORSA exhaust systems, the new Avalanche system is constructed entirely from premium stainless steel, bolts directly to the factory catalytic converter and requires no welding. It comes complete with necessary hardware and a fully illustrated installation guide. Featuring a limited lifetime warranty, the new CORSA Avalanche exhaust system is 50-state emissions legal, does not void the new vehicle warranty, and can be purchased direct from CORSA Performance, your local dealer and through select retailers/distributors nationwide.

Focusing on the development of proprietary technology, CORSA Performance employs patented Reflective Sound Cancellation technology in its performance automotive exhaust systems. CORSA's 100 percent stainless steel cat-back exhausts are specifically tuned to each vehicle to eliminate passenger cabin resonance and to produce just the right sound. CORSA offers performance exhaust systems and accessories for cars, trucks, and SUVs.
