Axalta Teams with Ford and EcoTrek

It's big and it's eco friendly, powered by Algae based bio fuels. This year at SEMA 2013 Ford, EcoTrek and Axalta partnered to bring a bio fuel expedition equipped F350 to the show. The truck sports a 9-inch lift with Bulletpoof Suspension and 20-inch BMF Wheels. But that's not the cool part. The truck has two TransferFlow fuel tanks: one 50-gallon unit under the bed and a removable 75-gallon tank in its bed. EcoTrek estimates a range of up to 1,800 miles per tank, with the truck being capable of running on diesel, biodiesel, algae-based biodiesel or any combination of those fuels. It also has a rooftop shelter, refrigerator, stoves, and flexible solar panels. Helping the user in making the truck their home in the wild is a cabin has lockable storage cabinets, sleeping bags, backpacks, apparel; a custom sliding shelf has also been installed for locking storage. All around the EcoTrek was a show stopper for Axalta and Ford Motor Company

Medal of Honor Ford Thunderbird Unveiled at SEMA 2013 by SATA DanAm

During SEMA 2013, DanAm Company the exclusive distributor of SATA spray equipment in the United States and Puerto Rico hosted a press conference to unveil the 1956 Thunderbird convertible painted by airbrush artist, Mickey Harris. The car will leave the SEMA show to reside in the lobby of Ford Motor Company for several months before being auctioned at Barrett-Jackson to raise funds for Wounded Warriors Family Support Fund. About: The Wounded Warriors Family Support Medal of Honor Car is a tribute to ourcountry's military heroes who have gone above and beyond the call of duty. The Medal of Honor is the highest award that can be bestowed on a member of the United States Armed Services. Medal of Honor recipients are individuals who have fought to the bitter end to protect our nation's freedom at the risk — and in many cases, the cost — of their own lives. These are heroes who have shown incredible courage in the face of overwhelming odds, saved the lives of civilians and their fellow soldiers, and played major roles in leading crucial victories. They are truly individuals who have given, as President Abraham Lincoln said, "the last full measure of devotion."Through the Medal of Honor car, Wounded Warriors Family Support aims to pay homage to our nation's nearly 3,500 Medal of Honor recipients, only 80 of whom are still living. The Medal of Honor car is a restored 1956 Ford Thunderbird, donated to Wounded Warriors Family Support in March 2012. Restoration work is also being donated to the organization. The '56 T-Bird is receiving a top-to-bottom makeover, including a thorough strip-down of the car, restoration of all mechanical parts and detailed bodywork. The finishing touch on the car will be a hand-painted Medal of Honor motif on the Ford Thunderbird. On September 18, 2013, the Medal of Honor car will travel to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society Convention in Gettysburg, Pa., where it will be signed by today's surviving Medal of Honor recipients. All 80 living medal recipients have been invited to the convention, and a majority of the group is expected to attend the event. In 2014, the Medal of Honor car will be auctioned at the Barrett-Jackson Automobile Auction. Funds raised from the sale of the car will benefit Wounded Warriors Family Support's many programs that provide support to the families of those who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations. What is the Medal of Honor? The Medal of Honor is the highest award for valor in action against an enemy force that can be presented to an individual serving in the Armed Services of the United States. The award was first authorized by President Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War in 1862. There are Army, Navy and Air Force versions of the Medal of Honor, with members of the Marine Corps and Coast Guard eligible to receive the Navy version.Just 3,460 Medals of Honor have been presented since the award's inception, and 19 individuals have been awarded the medal twice. Today, there are only 80 living Medal of Honor recipients. Generally, the medal is presented to each recipient by the President of the United States in the name of Congress. More than half of Medals of Honor since 1941 have been presented posthumously. If the recipient has been killed in action, the medal is presented to the recipient's next of kin.To learn more about the Medal of Honor, visit or
