There’s still time to receive a discounted rate to the Automotive Service Association’s (ASA) 2009 Annual Convention.
ASA reports it considered the current economic situation many shop owners face, and will offer the reduced pricing for the remainder of the registration process. The 2009 Annual Convention is April 30-May 2 at the Caribe Royale All-Suites Hotel and Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
“Similar to our decision to freeze the national dues amounts for members in 2009, we want to give ASA members every opportunity to participate in this year’s convention by locking in the reduced ‘early-bird’ registration fees,” says Ron Pyle, ASA president and chief staff executive. “The lower rates may allow more members to attend the convention to receive continued training and the benefits of meeting with peers, as well as provide them with the flexibility to make last-minute travel arrangements to attend, if needed.”
Online registration is available through April 20. Discounted rates will also apply to on-site registration.
The annual convention will include the ASA board of directors meeting; a State of the Association address by Pyle; an affiliate assembly meeting; a keynote address by Meagan Johnson addressing multigenerational issues; informative Industry Impact sessions focusing on the automotive service and collision repair segments of the industry; three Automotive Management Institute (AMI)-approved seminars; Friday night’s Benefit Provider Networking Reception; and ASA’s annual Celebration of Excellence awards ceremony, which will again host the AMI graduation ceremony; and an AMI dessert reception.
