Hankook Tire America Corp. is raising prices by up to 5 percent on its full line of passenger, light truck tires and medium duty truck tires.

Hankook Tire America Corp. is raising prices by up to 5 percent on its full line of passenger, light truck tires and medium duty truck tires.

The amount of the increase will vary by product line and/or size. The increases will take effect Jan. 1 2010.

“The ongoing rise in the cost of raw materials and energy consumed in manufacturing and distribution continues to impact our industry,” says Todd Hershberger, Sr. Vice President, Hankook Tire America Corp. “We are making every effort possible to control costs, and improve and expand our production capacity.
