Eastern Manufacturing, Inc. is expanding its market presence following the company’s acquisition of The Automotive Edge/Hermoff Manufacturing from Dorman Products, Inc., a Colmar, Pa.-based supplier of OE automotive replacement parts, automotive hardware, brake products and household hardware to the automotive aftermarket and mass merchandisers.

Hermoff, headquartered in Hagersville, Ontario, is a manufacturer and distributor of exhaust manifolds, catalytic converters and components throughout Canada and the United States.

“This acquisition is an excellent business and growth opportunity for Eastern, and will expand both our manufacturing and distribution capabilities,” says George Schafer, Eastern’s president. “The Hermoff and Automotive Edge business units will not only increase sales volume and open new distribution channels in Canada, but also add some new units to the Eastern product line.”

Eastern produces catalytic converters and catalytic converter components for both original equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket. The lines consist of universal, direct-fit, high performance, diesel and heavy-duty catalytic converters.
