Bridgestone/Firestone raises pricing on truck and bus tires

Effective Sept. 12, Bridgestone Commercial Solutions has raised the prices of its Bridgestone and Firestone truck and bus radial tires by up to 8 percent for its American and Canadian dealer and truck stop customers.

Effective Sept. 12, Bridgestone Commercial Solutions has raised the prices of its Bridgestone and Firestone truck and bus radial tires by up to 8 percent for its American and Canadian dealer and truck stop customers.

The company is also upping the pricing on its OTR tread rubber and Bandag retread materials – including tread rubber, cushion, cement, solvents and envelopes – by an average of 8 percent in the U.S. and Canada.

“Volatile market conditions continue to cause many challenges in our industry,” says Kurt Danielson, division president.

“We are particularly impacted by intense supply pressures and escalating prices of raw materials,” he adds. “While we continue to look for ways to balance costs and deliver a premium package of value to our customers, we have reached a point where these increases are necessary.”
