As part of the ongoing effort to provide its dealers with the most current information and expertise, Hankook has launched an updated Empowerment Online Training Program.

The goal of the website is to educate the company’s distribution channel about its tires while offering an opportunity to become a Hankook Certified Tire Specialist.

First released in 2009, the updated Empowerment Online Training Program provides design and safety information that dealers can use at the point of sale when interacting with potential customers.

In addition to the program’s existing training modules focusing on Tire Basics and the Ventus, Dynapro and Broadline lines, two additional sections have been added to educate users about winter and commercial tires.

Each of the program’s training modules includes an opening video followed by detailed information such as sales guides, application guides, a positioning/competitive comparison guide and data sheet with detailed tire data.

“Consumers have a wide selection of tire brands to choose from when shopping for new replacement tires for their vehicles,” notes Henry Kopacz, public relations and product marketing specialist.

“While there are numerous places that consumers can gather information for their next tire purchase, the face to face contact they have with a sales person is vitally important in that decision making process,” he points out.

“Our Empowerment Online Training Program provides salespeople the information and knowledge to confidently recommend our products to consumers,” says Kopacz.

In order to become a Hankook Certified Tire Specialist, participants must complete each of the program’s Tire Basics, Ventus, Dynapro and Broadline training tests with a score of 80 percent or better.

As an added incentive, users that reach 80 percent and beyond on each test will receive a $70 Hankook American Express Reward Card. Those who score a perfect 100 percent on each test get a $100 card.

The site can be accessed at www.hankookempowerment.com.

Upon entering, users can register for the program and choose a unique username and password of their choice. The program can be completed at your own pace, with no time limit in which to complete the training modules or tests.
