CAWA awards scholarships to aftermarket students

The California/Nevada/Arizona Automotive Wholesalers' Association has awarded nine scholarships to students for 2009 and released deadline information for the 2010 scholarship process.

The California/Nevada/Arizona Automotive Wholesalers' Association has awarded nine scholarships to students for 2009 and released deadline information for the 2010 scholarship process.

The 2009 Memorial Scholarship Program winners all are pursuing education related to the automotive aftermarket and will each receive funds toward their 2009 academic year.

In addition to the nine winners, Nestor Carlos of Hayward, Calif., was selected to receive the Mort Schwartz award, which is the highest award granted and is named after the scholarship program's founder and former CAWA chair of the board, Mort Schwartz. Carlos is attending Chabot College.

Scholarship applications also are being accepted for 2010. Apply online at www.automotivescholarships.com. Applicants may be qualified for more than one scholarship, but only need to submit one application.
