We’re here to help people take the guesswork out of common car problems.”

The release of these new six videos bookends a year of creative web-based, educational video content that Cottman has made available to its loyal and growing customers. Earlier this year, Cottman released its first collection of animated videos, all which address annual car services needs, routine maintenance, road trip precautions and many more relevant consumer preventative and proactive car care tips.

“The feedback from our customers has been fantastic,” said Randy Wright, president of Cottman Transmission and Total Auto Care. “They’re thrilled to have quick, compelling videos to reference before – and after – something goes wrong with the car.”

By using simple explanations in the engaging, animated videos, which are a minute long or less, The Cottman Man provides crucial car care tips to viewers. Underscoring the usefulness of the series are colorful visuals and easy-to-follow guidelines that ensure viewers are more confident about their motor vehicles and the care it requires.

“Our customers often ask us for information that can get confusing if you have a limited understanding of mechanics, transmissions or general car care,” said Chris Scallan south regional operations director of Cottman Transmission and Total Auto Care. “These videos are a critical tool that we can provide them to help them understand all sorts of issues, from what to do when the check engine light goes off to how often to replace tires.”

The video series has earned several prestigious honors for its web-based content. Earlier this year, the series won the 2016 The International Advertising Competition Best Other Online Video.

In addition the video series was honored by receiving the Platinum Award in the 2016 Summit Marketing Effectiveness Awards (MEA) competition specifically in the Education Marketing Category. Then the Cottman Man Educational Video Series received two Silver Awards in the categories of Video Features Web Personality/Host and Online Video Web Series of the W3 Awards. The W3 Awards are sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts and honors creative excellence on the web.

“The quality of the Cottman Man videos is phenomenal, and more than that, they’re truly helpful for our customers,” said Paul Dintino, north regional operations director of Cottman Transmission and Total Auto Care. “It just proves our dedication to providing full-service car care – even after you’ve left the building.”
