THS named American Business Awards finalist

The Hybrid Shop is a finalist in the New Product or Service of the Year - Consumer Services category.
The Hybrid Shop (THS), a growing international network of dealers committed to providing expert care for hybrid-electric vehicles (HEVs), has been selected as a finalist in the New Product or Service of the Year - Consumer Services category in The 2014 American Business Awards, and will ultimately be a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie® Award winner in the program.
“We’re extremely honored by this recognition. To be selected as a finalist in the New Product or Service of the Year - Consumer Services category in our inaugural year demonstrates how THS has solidified and dominated a market need,” say Matt Curry, CEO of The Hybrid Shop. “Our international network of dealers has done an outstanding job! I’m so glad we’re delivering an innovative, environmentally-sound service that allows our customers to get the most out of their HEVs and truly enjoy the experience.”
Since its launch in 2013, THS has built an international dealer network to provide an environmentally friendly, cost-saving solution that virtually eliminates need for battery replacement in hybrid-electric vehicles. An underperforming hybrid battery can result in decreased fuel economy and torque, leading to significant battery replacement costs, amounting to as much as $4,000- $9,000. THS’ hybrid Battery Pack Conditioning is a green service that restores up to 95% of the battery pack’s original power and energy, while driving significant increased fuel economy over the vehicle’s lifetime. The ability to restore, as opposed to replace, the batteries is a critical element in the environmental sustainability of these services. In addition to battery conditioning, THS can diagnose, repair and maintain all the electrical systems on a hybrid, as well as, all traditional vehicle systems.
Customer feedback from across THS’ international dealer network demonstrates the positive reaction received in response to these specialty hybrid services:
“THS took the time to fully explain the workings of a hybrid battery system after their closing time, so that I could fully understand what we were getting into before purchasing a Prius. Their knowledge of hybrid car systems was extremely impressive.” – Scott Armstrong
“I took my hybrid in for their Battery Pack Conditioning service, paid about one-third the price of a new battery, and have experienced both a jump in fuel economy to 59 mpg and a significant increase in power and performance.” - Bill Poveromo
“They replaced the water pump in my hybrid for much less than what the dealer quoted. They service more than just tires and do a great job at it!” - Ed Perez
More than 3,300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for American Business Award consideration in a wide range of categories. Finalists were chosen by more than 150 business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May. Specialized judging committees will determine Stevie Award placements from among the Finalists during final judging.
The American Business Awards for the new product & technology awards categories will take place on Friday, September 12 in San Francisco. Details about The American Business Awards and the list of Finalists in all categories are available at www.StevieAwards.com/ABA.
