OTC releases new coverage for BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and Audi in 3.3.1.4 software

OTC has announced the release of the new 3.3.1.4 diagnostic software for the Encore and Evolve professional diagnostic tools.
OTC has announced the release of the new 3.3.1.4 diagnostic software for the Encore and Evolve professional diagnostic tools. The update contains new European vehicle coverage for BMW, Mini, Smart and Mercedes-Benz vehicles up to the 2017 model year in addition to more content for Volkswagen and Audi through the 2015 model year. Coverage additions and improvements include extended special tests for newer and late-model vehicles, new module coverage and more bidirectional controls to diagnose and repair more vehicles.
Major coverage updates and improvements in the new Bravo 3.3.1.4 for both Evolve and Encore include:
  • Volkswagen/Audi: Added 111 new adjustment type special tests and 49 new actuation type special for many 2000 – 2015 Volkswagen and Audi models
  • BMW/Mini: added 5 new adjustment type tests and 17 new actuation type special tests for many 2000 – 2017 BMW/Mini models
  • Mercedes-Benz: added 1,405 vehicle-ECU combinations and 475 new systems 2017 model year, 28 new adjustment type special tests and 14 new actuation type special tests for many 2000 – 2017 vehicles
  • Alfa Romeo: added 446 new actuation type special tests
  • Nissan/Infiniti: new coverage for 2017-2018 model year vehicles and systems, with new special tests for many 2017-2018 vehicles including 133 new systems and 1,345 new vehicle-ECU combinations
  • GM: added 147 new adjustment type special tests, 787 new actuation type special tests, and:
    - Steering wheel angle sensor centering: 2016 Chevrolet Spark, Buick Envision
    - Power steering softstops learn: 2014 – 2016 GM cars and crossovers with separate Power Steering Control Module
    - Throttle sweep: 2016 GM cars and trucks with Electronic Throttle Actuation
    - Learned values reset: 2016 Cadillacs, Chevrolet Camaro and Corvette
    - Reset teen driver key PIN: 2016 Chevrolet Mailbu and Volt
    - DPF service regeneration: 2016 GMC Canyon, Sierra and Savana, Chevrolet Express, Silverado and Colorado
  • Chrysler: added 10 new adjustment type special tests, 1,475 new actuation type special tests for 2017-2018 model year vehicles, and:
    - Rail Pressure: 2008 – 2017 cars and trucks
    - EGR positioner: 2007 – 2017 RAM trucks and Jeep vehicles
    - Compression test: 2007 – 2017 Chrysler, RAM and Jeep vehicles
    - Coolant temperature: 2017 Italian-based Chrysler vehicles like Chrysler 200
    - Diesel particulate filter regeneration: 2004 – 2017 Chrysler diesel vehicles
    - DPF reset option: 2015 – 2016 Promaster with 3.0L Cummins diesel, RAM with 6.7L Cummins diesel
  • Ford: added 5 new adjustment type special tests and 616 new actuation type special tests for model year 2017 vehicles, including 88 new systems
