The Automotive Aftermarket Riders’ Club (AARC) annual motorcycle ride from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon will have extra importance in 2013 as the riders will ride for the future, raising funds for the University of the Aftermarket Foundation. AARC seeks sponsors and pledges for its ride and plans to donate all proceeds to the foundation.

"We are thrilled to support the efforts of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation, helping raise awareness, as well as money, for scholarships and educational programs with our annual AARC ride,” said Bill Maggs, lifetime trustee of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation and leader of the pack. “Our ride is a great start to Industry Week and each year we get more industry professionals joining us for an incredible three-day adventure. Because we have the extra incentive of raising money for the foundation, we know this year will be the best ride yet.”

The AARC Ride for the Future will kick off on Thursday, Oct. 31 at 1:00 p.m. PT from the Las Vegas Harley-Davidson dealership. The first day, the riders will roll to Williams, Ariz. On Friday, Nov. 1, the ride will continue to the Grand Canyon for a day of sightseeing before returning to Williams for the night. The riders will then head back to Las Vegas on Saturday, Nov. 2, arriving in time for the start of Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) meetings that afternoon.

“We are always looking for new members for our gang, I mean club,” said Mike Mohler, vice president of National Pronto Association. “If you know why dogs hang their heads out of moving car windows, then you belong on the ride with us. Or, at the very least, you need to sponsor us.”

For more information about how to sponsor the AARC Ride for the Future, contact Mohler at [email protected] or visit the AARC Facebook page. To make a donation directly to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation, call (816) 584-0511.
