Advanced Technical Institute faculty member earns prestigious CHEP designation

Advanced Technical Institute (ATI) announces that automotive technology faculty member Edwin Miller has earned the prestigious Certified Higher Education Professional (CHEP) designation from the National Association of State Administrators and Supervisors of Private Schools (NASASPS).

Advanced Technical Institute (ATI) announces that automotive technology faculty member Edwin Miller has earned the prestigious Certified Higher Education Professional (CHEP) designation from the National Association of State Administrators and Supervisors of Private Schools (NASASPS).

CHEP certification recognizes faculty members of career schools, colleges, and universities who strive for excellence in their respective positions. CHEPs have successfully completed 48 hours of approved training in their area of concentration and are required to complete eight hours of approved training annually to maintain their certification. Areas of concentration for CHEPs include:

• Higher Education Leadership
• Management and Supervision
• Campus Operations
• Admissions
• Career Services
• Teaching
• Online Teaching

“Mr. Miller enjoys learning and appreciates any knowledge that he can carry over into the classroom,” says ATI President Dick Daigle. “He cares very much about student success and works actively to ensure that all of his students understand the material presented and encourages students to ask questions and propose scenarios. He constructs lessons that include teaching for all learning styles which gives all students an opportunity to excel.  This certification is yet another example of his commitment to quality education.”
