ASA and NACE | CARS announce the offering of organized technical and historical cultural Tours in Detroit.

ASA and NACE | CARS announce the offering of organized technical and historical cultural Tours in Detroit. All attendees will have the opportunity to register for any of the nine tours, featuring historic Motor City locations, OEM plant and factory tours, as well as tours of Canada.

Registration is encouraged in advance; however, will be available on-site for tours that have not reached capacity.

FORD ROUGE FACTORY TOUR

Carefully preserved with original family furnishings and art, the 110-room, 88,000-square-foot mansion is elaborately detailed with carved wood and stone, ornate plaster ceilings, Tiffany stained glass and custom- made hardware, and filled with fine and decorative art.

The Walter P. Chrysler Museum opens to a two-story atrium in which a rotating tower majestically showcases the automaker's iconic concept vehicles. From the atrium, visitors can access two floors of distinctive exhibition galleries and the garage-like atmosphere of the lower level.

About the Events
Along with NACE | CARS 2014, a series of automotive repair industry events and co-located meetings will take place July 28-Aug. 2, 2014. Early in the week there will be a series of Board and other private meetings. Tuesday will feature a CIC quarterly meeting. Wednesday will highlight the I-CAR Conference and Gala 35th Anniversary Networking Reception. On Thursday and Friday, the NACE | CARS Expo will take place, along with numerous NACE and CARS business and technical sessions, the Collision Repair Executive Symposium (CRES), the Technology & Telematics Forum, the Automotive Management Institute (AMI) graduation ceremony and on-site I-CAR training. Technical presentations end at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, August 2.
