The Automotive Service Association (ASA) is busy developing NACE and CARS 2014, to be held in Detroit July 30-Aug 1. ASA’s two annual shows will run in the same week as other core industry events from July 29 through Aug. 2, including I-CAR, CIC and the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s annual golf outing.

“NACE and CARS are the only events solely dedicated to those who service and repair cars,” said Dan Risley, ASA executive director. “The 2014 event will feature a week of comprehensive education and training taught by the brightest minds in the industry, a world-class trade show floor filled with the latest products and services from vendors committed to supporting the industry, and networking opportunities that have differentiated NACE and CARS since their inception.”

ASA is working closely with Stone Fort Group cofounders Sean Guerre and Brian Nessen who will be managing next year’s event. The move from October to July is a significant change sought out to promote industry unity. We believe these changes and others will bring a progressive, beneficial, one-of-a-kind experience to all auto repair professionals worldwide – from shop owners and managers to technicians and staff.

“We are very excited to be working with ASA on the NACE and CARS event in 2014,” said Nessen. “The theme of next year’s meeting is ‘Renaissance,’ which reflects the growth, change and improvement of NACE and CARS, the industry, technology and the overall business climate. With the support of the major automakers and the revitalization of downtown Detroit – along with the significant education and training – there’s never been a better time to be involved with this event.”

The International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE) – the world’s collision repair event – represents the only B2B event of its kind specifically designed for collision repair industry professionals from around the globe. NACE features a comprehensive educational Conference and Exposition with hundreds of diverse exhibiting companies displaying the latest equipment, products, services and technology available to today’s collision repair industry.

The Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) – the premier event for automotive service professionals – features high-quality management and technical education led by the best instructors in the industry, along with an exhibitor showcase of automotive service- and repair-related equipment, products and services.
