AAPEXedu to spotlight telematics and the connected car

The 2015 AAPEXedu will take a close up look at the emerging role of telematics as a revenue generator for independent auto repair shops, and many additional issues related to autonomous vehicles and connected cars.
The 2015 AAPEXedu will take a close up look at the emerging role of telematics as a revenue generator for independent auto repair shops, the challenges the aftermarket faces with “direct to vehicle owner” OE communications, and many additional issues related to autonomous vehicles and connected cars. All AAPEXedu sessions are free and begin on Monday, Nov. 2, the day before the official start of AAPEX, and run throughout the event. 

AAPEXedu sessions that will spotlight the increased opportunities and added challenges of telematics and the connected car include:

            Tuesday, Nov. 3

  • “Connected Vehicles: Gearing Up for Security,”  7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
  • Telematics Support for Independent Shops,” 11 a.m. - Noon
  • 21st Century Vehicles – Keeping Drivers Safe and Connected While        
  •  Respecting the Environment,” 11 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.

            Wednesday, Nov. 4

  • Telematics and the Independent Vehicle Service Industry,” 9 a.m. - 10 a.m.
  •   “Connected Vehicles: The Future of Transportation,” 11 a.m. - Noon
  •   “New Safety Technology: Does It Work?” 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

            Thursday, Nov. 5

  •   Connected Vehicles – Have You Lost Connection with Infotainment?” 11 a.m. - Noon.

With more than 50 sessions, the 2015 AAPEXedu is designed to help automotive service professionals, warehouse distributors (WDs), retailers, parts stores and manufacturers stay ahead of the curve.

AAPEX 2015 is slated for Nov. 3 through Nov. 5, at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas, and is expected to feature more than 2,400 exhibitors, 5,000 booths and 39,000 targeted buyers. Approximately 130,000 automotive aftermarket professionals from nearly 140 countries are projected to be in Las Vegas during AAPEX.
