LAS VEGAS — John and Betty James have a new date car.

Betty James said they were surprised they won. The James have worked with Hovis Auto & Truck Supply in Mercer, Pa., for decades, and been in business for 31 years. She said they are very grateful to Federated for their support as a Federated Car Care Center.
The couple have a 2002 Monte Carlo they used to use as a “date car,” but after their son, John, was injured, they put quite a few miles on the vehicle taking him to doctor appointments in Pittsburgh. The new car will take its place.
The owners also won a trip to AAPEX 2012 to receive the vehicle.
“We want to congratulate John on winning the Federated ‘Let it Ride’ Sweepstakes and thank him for being a loyal Federated Car Care customer,” said Phil Moore, senior vice president of Federated Auto Parts. “With all the benefits of being part of the Federated Car Care Center program, like the ‘Let it Ride’ promotion, it goes to show that you can’t lose with Federated Car Care. Just ask John!”
John and Betty James still run the shop, along with their son, Kevin, who ran things while the couple came to AAPEX.
In addition to the grand prize trip to Las Vegas and Chevy SSR won by James, hundreds of other prizes were awarded to Federated Car Care Center members throughout the country. The Federated “Let it Ride” Sweepstakes was open to any fully enrolled Federated Car Care Center member. Current members were automatically eligible and new members had to be enrolled by Aug. 31, 2012 to be eligible.
