The Best Young Tech Award honors young individuals moving through the service repair industry who are excelling in their roles and are passionate about their work. TechForce Foundation has participated as a supporting sponsor of each Best Young Tech Award to date.
"TechForce Foundation is committed to working collaboratively throughout the industry to celebrate the success of young technicians," said Jennifer Maher, CEO of TechForce Foundation. "We are excited to support the Best Young Tech Award again in 2024 and thank Motor Age for their support of TechForce Foundation's charitable mission to champion all students to and through their education and into careers as professional technicians. Together we are inspiring the next generation of techs by celebrating those doing the work to keep America moving."
The nomination process for Best Young Tech starts on April 8.
As a supporting sponsor, TechForce Foundation helps spread the word about the Best Young Tech Award, raising awareness among auto tech students, young alumni of vocational tech programs and auto service training instructors.
The Best Young Tech winner will receive national recognition and a prize package from Award sponsors, including a model V8 Engine from TechForce Foundation.
TechForce Foundation powers the technician workforce by awarding more than $4 million in scholarships and grants annually to financially disadvantaged students; changes perceptions towards this evolving, ‘new collar’ STEM career; and provides local career exploration and workforce development programming.
