Questions on Tinted Clear Coat or 4-Stage Refinish in CCC? The DEG can help. One note: 4-stage refinish may require additional operations that are not included in CCC One.

In DEG inquiry 7945, CCC states:
"In general a 4-Stage formula will require the application of a ground coat in addition to the base coat and mid coat application while others may use a tinted clear coat in addition to the final clear coat (non-tinted). The use of a ground coat or tinted clear coat has not been considered in MOTOR's THREE-STAGE FINISHES (Base/Mica/Clear Coat) and is not included."

The estimating databases are all intended to be used as a GUIDE ONLY - it is important to remember that the auto body professional performing the repair is in a position to thoroughly inspect, diagnose and identify the methodology and their unique cost of the vehicle damage repair.
