I-CAR rolls out Honda, Acura TPMS course

I-CAR is launching a new course under its Vehicle and Technology Specific Training portfolio in the fourth quarter of 2016: Honda and Acura TPMS Collision Repair.

I-CAR^® is launching a new course under its Vehicle and Technology Specific Training portfolio in the fourth quarter of 2016: Honda and Acura TPMS Collision Repair. The new online course is part of I-CAR’s continuing collaboration with American Honda Motor Company, Inc. in an effort to deliver Honda and Acura vehicle-specific training across the collision repair industry.

Honda and Acura TPMS Collision Repair (HON16e) is the sixth in a series of American Honda developed, I-CAR delivered online courses. Tire pressure monitoring systems, or TPMS, are critical safety systems in a world where customers don’t always pay close attention to tire pressures and condition. TPMS has been required on vehicles by federal law since 2007. Because of the required locations of some system components, collision damage is likely. TPMS service procedures, which vary by system design, may be required to help ensure a complete and proper repair. An extensive diagnostic background isn’t necessary to avoid most common TPMS issues.
