Weld-Ed Rolls Into Summer with Mobile Welder Training Center

June 28, 2016
The Mobile Welder Training Center is equipped to deliver onsite customized training to manufacturers, fabricating operations, and metalworking companies throughout northern Ohio.
If you’re building it, they will come. Bad “Field of Dreams” references aside, on-site specialized training for welders has never been more accessible for manufacturers in northern Ohio. With Ohio’s manufacturing sector growing stronger by the quarter, businesses around the state are looking for new ways to train workers quickly and cost-efficiently.
Last year, the National Center for Welding Education and Training (Weld-Ed), in partnership with Lorain County Community College, introduced a 48-foot self-contained trailer equipped with eight state-of-the-art welding stations. The Mobile Welder Training Center is equipped to deliver onsite customized training to manufacturers, fabricating operations, and metalworking companies throughout northern Ohio. Businesses that rely on welding in their manufacturing processes are constantly tasked with keeping their workforce trained on the latest best practices and innovations their industries produce. Further resources are spent on training employees in methods that differentiate the organization within their industries. Weld-Ed’s mobile training center offers a reliable solution to these challenges by providing one-on-one specialized training on-site.
Businesses looking to take advantage of a custom curriculum without the costly expenses traditionally associated with off-site training can utilize components including MIG, precision TIG, stick welding, pipe welding, orbital TIG training and more, each designed to meet industry-specific standards.
The mobile training center was made possible through a grant from the Ohio Depart- ment of Higher Education (formerly the Ohio Board of Regents), with assistance from Ohio Senator Gayle Manning (D-13).
