I-CAR ®, the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, returns to the annual NACE | CARS 2016 Expo & Conference in the Anaheim Convention Center in California, Aug. 9-13, with a new lineup of insights, instruction and information to help advance the knowledge and skills of collision repair professionals.
Those attending the expo will have the opportunity to experience I-CAR classes, see live demonstrations and hear presentations by industry experts. All of this happens in I-CAR’s three main spaces at the NACE CARS expo: on the I-CAR Main Stage, at I-CAR’s Booth #679 and in I-CAR classrooms.

I-CAR Main Stage Demonstrations
I-CAR will bring automotive industry experts to the I-CAR Main Stage to deliver technical presentations on the latest repair techniques, tools and equipment. These live demonstrations will provide participants their first look at advanced repair methods and details on diagnostics.
Among the demonstrations on August 11 and 12 are (in order of appearance):

• BMW Carbon Fiber – Damage Assessment and Repair Methods, presented by Ricky Hernandez of BMW
• F-150 Apron Tube Replacement, presented by Shawn Collins of 3M
• Remote Vehicle Diagnostics with Astech2, presented by Jake Rodenroth of CDS
• MIG Brazing for Honda Accord B-Pillar Replacement, presented by I-CAR
• BMW “New 7 Series” – New Design, Technology and Repairs, presented by Anthony McDonald of BMW
On-Site I-CAR Training Courses
Event attendees can sign up for I-CAR training courses delivered at various times throughout the event, gaining on-the-spot repair knowledge that can help them improve cycle times and production processes all across their shops.
The auto industry launches roughly 142 new vehicle designs every year in the U.S. alone, many of them employing new materials that require new or different repair processes. Therefore, collision repair professionals must regularly update their skills and vehicle repair acumen regularly. Highly trained technicians who apply the latest repair methods are better equipped to perform complete, safe and quality repairs. With I-CAR training, those technicians repair vehicles up to 14 percent faster than untrained technicians, according to industry research data.

Additionally, I-CAR Director of Business Development Nick Notte will show participants how to calculate the return on investment from training, which has been objectively shown to improve shop efficiencies and profitability. His session, “Training Pays – Calculate Your Shop’s Training Return on Investment,” will be Friday, Aug. 12.

Attendees can visit I-CAR booth #679 and have the opportunity to talk face-to-face with knowledgeable experts from I-CAR, the collision repair industry’s go-to source for solutions that can help improve the bottom line of any shop. They will be available to answer questions about the latest developments within I-CAR including collision repair processes and professional education.
