CHICAGO — Automechanika Chicago is bringing international attention to U.S. companies, but one company is taking it a step further.
Corteco, with a large presence on the Automechanika Chicago show floor, is a “global manufacturer with roots in your own backyard.”
Corteco, a seal manufacturer, is part of Freudenbrg – NOK Sealing Technologies, holding a more international footprint than its sister company TransTec, which produces automatic transmission kits and is more known in the U.S. But that is changing.
“We have global manufacturing capabilities for all product lines you see here (at Automechanika Chicago), but we’re reintroducing Corteco into the domestic market,” said Patty Richards, senior marketing manager for Freudenbrg – NOK Sealing Technologies. “The product always has been here, but we’re working now to get recognized here.”
The same is true with TransTec becoming more of a global name. Richards explained that as the global car parc changes from little to a good number of automatic transmissions around the world, the brand is becoming more recognized worldwide.
