Messe Frankfurt, producer of Automechanika, the leading international brand of automotive trade shows and the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) have signed an agreement of support in the launch of Automechanika Chicago, the 14th installment of the brand worldwide. Set to take place April 24 to 26, 2015, Automechanika Chicago will be held at McCormick Place West, Chicago.
APRA is a non-profit, international trade association serving more than 1,000 companies involved in the $35 billion/year motor vehicle parts rebuilding/remanufacturing industry. Their longstanding relationship with the Automechanika brand worldwide as well as the partnership with PAACE Automechanika Mexico City shows the significance of their position within the industry.
“Educating the market is a primary goal of APRA and the general focus of Automechanika Chicago, which makes our alliance a natural one. Having the support of such a key organization within the automotive industry only solidifies the position that Automechanika Chicago is satisfying a need in the market,” states Bridget Ferris, Automechanika Chicago Show Director. “APRA will have a strong presence at the event and we are delighted at their participation.”
Opening its doors to more than 8,500 attendees, Automechanika Chicago will showcase a broad range of products from an estimated 400 exhibitors, 30% coming from countries such as Europe, Italy, Turkey and others. Automechanika Chicago is produced jointly between Messe Frankfurt and Advanstar Communications, the leading producer of U.S. tradeshows, and provider of integrated media solutions to the automotive aftermarket – daily reaching millions of service & collision repair professionals, technicians, original equipment and aftermarket manufacturers and distributors. Automechanika Chicago will be the largest U.S. trade show for automotive technicians and shop owners dedicated to high-end technical training and management classes, while showcasing the newest tools, equipment and products in the market.
According to Joe Kripli, Chairman and President of APRA, "APRA has partnered for many years globally with Messe Frankfurt and is very excited about them bringing an event to the USA with Automechanika Chicago. The expertise and quality, along with the professionalism that Automechanika brings with it's shows will be well received in Chicago."
“A strong collaboration between Messe Frankfurt and industry leaders like APRA exists to accelerate development of the industry as a whole,” comments Jim Savas, vice president, Advanstar Automotive Group. “We are confident that Automechanika Chicago will achieve overwhelming success and our strategic partnership with APRA will strengthen the platform designed to reach this untapped niche within our industry.”
