But the real story may be the growth ofAASA and the full service supplier members of its China Aftermarket Forum (CAF) have been working for several years on the growth and development of the Chinese aftermarket. AASA and the CAF have joined with associations and groups in China to support and organize the Automotive Aftermarket Summit 2012, slated for Wednesday, Dec. 12, during Automechanika Shanghai.
This landmark event is focused on the theme, “Innovation and Adjustment of the Service Model.” The summit will facilitate an examination and discussion of strategies to assist China’s independent aftermarket distribution channel to improve its delivery of the right parts to repair facilities, known as “workshops,” on time.
More than 300 professionals and executives from parts manufacturers, distributors, retailers and workshops are expected to attend this free event. Participants will learn about the newest technologies and trends that will impact China’s aftermarket industry.
Discussion topics will include:
- Development and analysis of automotive aftermarket platform-based distribution
- Preparing the independent aftermarket for new vehicle technologies
- Auto parts distribution supply chain model for aftermarket end users
- TecMan training and TecDoc Super Catalogue
- Customized auto parts distribution services to workshops
- The innovation service model of e-commerce platform for auto parts
