Hahn Automotive Warehouse Inc., a Rochester, N.Y., based corporation, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Prime Automotive Parts Co. Inc. closed the transaction to acquire the assets of E&L Battery & Ignition Co., a Newark, N.J., based company.
E&L is a warehouse distributor of aftermarket automotive parts with its main warehouse location in Newark, along with eight branches. Hahn and E&L are both members of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance Inc., a leading international buying and marketing association.
Hahn said it elected to acquire E&L based on E&L’s performance as a well-managed company with a commitment to growth and customer service in the New Jersey market.
Hahn is a distributor of automotive aftermarket parts through its 20 strategically located distribution centers to over 80 Advantage Auto Stores and over 2,000 independent jobbers, in the Midwest and along the Eastern Seaboard.
Prime Automotive Parts Co. Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hahn, with its main warehouse location in Glendale, N.Y., and 23 pick-up warehouses located in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
