Federated Auto Parts member Vaca Valley Auto Parts celebrated the grand opening of its new 30,000 sq. ft. facility in Fairfield, Calif., on Aug. 26 with a car show and vendor expo for more than 650 customers and associates.

“Our grand opening exceeded all expectations and we thank all who attended and made it a day we will never forget. We are very fortunate to have the support and partnership of so many valued customers, vendors and friends,” said Trevor Martin, president of Vaca Valley Auto Parts. “There are two people I want to single out and thank from the bottom of my heart, my parents Jack and Evelyn Martin. They started this business 43 years ago and without their hard work and foresight, Vaca Valley Auto Parts would not have such a solid foundation to build upon. This grand opening is a tribute to them and their vision.”

The new Vaca Valley distribution center has twice the retail space and houses double the on-hand inventory as the previous location. The company will be adding to its fleet of delivery vehicles and will expand the route of its mobile parts van.

At the grand opening celebration, over 650 guests were treated to lunch and a “Show and Shine” car show. In addition, 34 vendor partners participated in a vendor expo and a raffle was held where over 200 prizes were awarded, including a $1,000 Vaca Valley shopping spree.

The Martin family has been long-time supporter of Solano Community College and invited the school’s 230 automotive students to attend the grand opening and learn about the auto care industry as part of an in-class assignment.

“We are very proud to have Vaca Valley Auto Parts as a member of the Federated family and wish them much success at their new location in Fairfield,” said Rusty Bishop, CEO of Federated Auto Parts. “Jack and Evelyn Martin built a successful business known for friendly, knowledgeable service and top quality auto parts. Trevor and his team have carried on their tradition and I have no doubt that the future of Vaca Valley is very bright.”
