Akebono Brake Corporation continues its recent expansion of brake pad coverage with the announcement of nine new part numbers to its Pro-ACT®, Performance® and EURO® Ultra-Premium ceramic disc brake pad lines.

This introduces premium brake coverage to an additional 5.8 million domestic, European and Asian vehicles. Akebono has released a total of 25 new part numbers in October, expanding total coverage to more than 10.4 million vehicles.

The nine part numbers fit 21 new models from years 2012 to 2017, including the following popular vehicles: Audi A8 Quattro, Acura RDX and TLX, Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Silverado, Ford Edge and Fusion, GMC Sierra, Honda Accord, Jeep Cherokee, Lincoln MKZ and Nissan Pathfinder.

Of the nine, five are the Pro-ACT brand, three are Performance, and one is EURO. Akebono’s Ultra-Premium ceramic disc brake pads are 100 percent made in the United States and are formulated to increase rotor life, enhance braking power and control and reduce noise, vibration and harshness (NVH).

“As the demand for Akebono premium ceramic brake pads continues to grow, we will continue to formulate our enhanced braking technology for a wider array of vehicles,” said Ken Selinger, Director, Akebono Aftermarket Sales and Marketing. “Akebono consistently delivers unmatched quality and performance in all of our aftermarket products—resulting in fewer comebacks and higher profits, leading to a more successful business for our clients.”
