MAHLE Clevite Canada announces plans to acquire Canadian engine parts distributor

MAHLE Clevite Canada, ULC, a global supplier of pistons, valve train parts, engine bearings, piston rings, and engine gaskets, recently announced that they have entered into an agreement to purchase the Canadian engine parts distributor, Engine Parts 1, Inc.  Engine Parts 1 currently serves the Canadian engine parts market with five strategically located distribution centers across the country. The proposed deal would transfer ownership of the company to MAHLE Clevite Canada.

The acquisition enables MAHLE Clevite to position itself for the long-term in the Canadian engine parts market by supporting the implementation of the MAHLE Clevite customer service initiatives and allowing them to focus directly on servicing the engine parts aftermarket. The initiative also establishes an important step in assuring MAHLE Clevite's customers of the long-term commitment for the supply of MAHLE Original, Clevite, Perfect Circle and Victor Reinz products.

"This transaction represents an excellent opportunity for our customers by enabling us to deliver the engine parts of choice, combined with the highest level of service and engine expertise that MAHLE Clevite is known for," says Bruce Saxton, who responsible for sales operations for MAHLE Clevite Canada.

The final closing date for this transaction has not yet been established.
