Calling it a significant first step in its expansion strategy into Central and South America, John R. Washbish, the president and CEO of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance announced the signing of Triple A in San Pedro Sula, Honduras as the group’s newest shareholder member.

“We are delighted to welcome Jeffrey Martinez, the president of Triple A and his entire team to the Alliance family,” said Washbish.  “His business epitomizes the type of blue chip operations that make up the Alliance; 43 years in business, the largest distributor for suspension and under car parts in Honduras and an impressive continuous 20% year over year growth.”  Triple A currently operates four primary warehouses which enables them to service the entire country of Honduras.

“We are tremendously excited about this new association,” said Martinez.  “We have been contemplating an affiliation with a North American based program group and when the Alliance came calling it was like a dream come true.  We are very impressed with their global capabilities and look forward to a long and mutually rewarding association.”

Washbish noted what a good fit Triple A is with the Alliance. “I often refer to the Alliance as a ‘family of family businesses,’ since all our members are owned and operated by families, many by the second and third generation.  Triple A is a true family business where the second generation of four brothers and one sister are operating a successful business.” Washbish also applauded the efforts of Daniel Moroles, Alliance Director of Sales and Market Development, who “put the deal together.”

The business was founded in 1971 as a repair facility. Over the years, the business evolved into a distributorship under the leadership of Oscar Martinez, who served as Triple A’s first president. Today, Jeffrey Martinez is president and his brothers Gerardo and Moises Martinez are responsible for operations of the four warehouses, while Eldon Martinez oversees the IT department for all companies and Linda Martinez is the Human Resource Manager for the organization.
