AutopromotecEDU unveils meeting schedule

April 13, 2015
Autopromotec recently unveiled the event and meeting schedule of AutopromotecEDU, the arena for b2b meetings and discussions on the most current issues of the automotive aftermarket industry.

Autopromotec, an international exhibition of automotive equipment and aftermarket products coming to Bologna, Italy, May 20 – 24, recently unveiled the event and meeting schedule of AutopromotecEDU, the arena for b2b meetings and discussions on the most current issues of the automotive aftermarket industry.

AutopromotecEDU 2015, as in its previous editions, will provide in-depth analysis of the most important aspects of the aftermarket sector and will involve top key players of the automotive industry, institutions, associations and media. The project focuses on providing industry operators with practical advice to help innovate, streamline and grow their business.

The opening conference on May 20 is entitled “The economy is picking up. Cars can restart” – as confirmed by car registrations in the first quarter of 2015, with a 13.46% increase (data courtesy of: CSP); the event will feature a lectio magistralis by Professor Vaciago – UCSC in Milan – followed by a discussion on industry opportunities with some of the major players in the automotive industry, moderated by Sebastiano Barisoni - Radio 24.

After that comes the meeting with international journalists, where the new features of Autopromotec 2015 will be illustrated, and an overview of the aftermarket scenario will be provided by GIPA and EGEA.

The first day will end with the 13th GIPA Excellence Trophy Award, an event that has made regular appearances over the past few editions of the show, and will award the companies that stood out in the Italian aftermarket sector.

The second conference day will have an international start, with the fifth edition of the International Automotive Aftermarket Meeting (IAAM15) providing detailed information on the major trends occurring in the global marketplace, with particular attention being given to the challenges posed by the implementation of the latest automotive infotainment technologies.

On the afternoon of May 21, the conference “The future independent aftermarket industry and technological upgrading: a comparison among sector players” will illustrate future opportunities and challenges across the sectors, and will be moderated by Maurizio Caprino, Il Sole 24 Ore.

AutopromotecEDU will also feature three country-specific presentations illustrating production and business opportunities in the following strategic markets: Vietnam (May 20), Turkey (May 21) and Brazil (May 22).

Trucking-related events will also be held in support of the Industrial Vehicle Service initiative; the first National Meeting of Industrial Vehicle Spare Parts Manufacturers organized by ANFIA – Aftermarket will take place on May 22. On the same day, a conference organized in cooperation with Federmetano will illustrate some interesting innovations in LNG truck applications. On the following day, another conference organized by Federmetano will detail aftermarket products for CNG and LPG vehicles.

Further sector-targeted AutopromotecEDU conferences will tackle such specific issues as workshop management, mobile solutions, and online business promotion.

Furthermore, an initiative by GM Edu, scheduled on May 20, will be devoted to young people and business opportunities in the car service industry. On the same day, the second edition of La Consulta dei Service Manager by Anticrisi Day will be held: it will be an interesting example of how the car service industry has taken on added importance in car dealerships.

On Saturday, May 23, the AutopromotecEDU agenda will feature, among other events, a conference on new car inspection systems by ALPI Servizi.

AutopromotecEDU will therefore support the Autopromotec show in providing networking and business opportunities to automotive experts from all over the world. Its pivotal role within the exhibition is conveyed by the two meeting rooms reserved for the event, which will be set up at the very entrance of the Bologna Trade Fair Center (Ovest – Costituzione), in a devoted area named “Circuito delle Idee” (“Idea circuit”), a meeting place for industry professionals to forge new business relationships.
