TecAlliance acquires Headline

Jan. 5, 2016
TecAlliance GmbH, a leading provider of information systems and software in the global automotive aftermarket based in Ismaning, Germany, and Headline Holding BV, announced that Headline will be integrated into TecAlliance as a new division.

TecAlliance GmbH, a leading provider of information systems and software in the global automotive aftermarket based in Ismaning, Germany, and Headline Holding BV, a specialist in OE vehicle and product data and a provider of global vehicle parc data based in Maastricht, Germany, announced Dec. 18 that Headline will be integrated into TecAlliance as a new division.

“Today we bring together the strengths of TecAlliance and Headline to create a leading system provider of information systems and electronic solutions for business processes in the independent automotive aftermarket (IAM)” said TecAlliance CEO Jürgen Buchert. “The merger allows us to offer our clients, within the TecAlliance product suites, a complete, OE quality data information chain, including vehicle, spare parts, and repair and maintenance data across all served brands. This strategic move will provide customers the ability to rapidly identify spare parts, for comprehensive service information and automated business processing. As a result, we are able to assist our clients in strengthening their competitiveness on a long-term basis.”

Headline, which has operated in the automotive aftermarket for more than 20 years, completes the data solution portfolio of TecAlliance through its range of globally available OE data in the areas of vehicle reference data products and vehicle parc information necessary for the monitoring and development throughout the product life cycle.

“The united company is a one-stop service provider that can make all necessary information available globally at all levels of the distribution chain, including suppliers, wholesalers and installers,” said Jan van Hooren, Managing Director of Headline. “This transaction also offers significant advantages to our employees and clients. They will all benefit from being part of a larger and even more strongly diversified global organization.”

Jürgen Buchert adds: “The merger makes sense for everyone concerned: the clients of both companies will receive a wider range of services under one umbrella, while the employees of TecAlliance and Headline will benefit from the expanded possibilities that arise from a united company. I am very happy that necessary continuity will be guaranteed by the continued efforts of Jan, Romy and Angelo as they continue working in their responsible positions. .”

Chairman of the TecAlliance Supervisory Board Josef Besting said “both companies are taking this step from a position of strength and have excellent prospects for growth.”
