Expanded training, regional user groups cap record year for Epicor Eagle software

Epicor this year has added dozens of users of the Eagle for the Aftermarket solution through new on premises and hosted implementations.

Epicor Software Corporation today announced that the Epicor Eagle® for the Aftermarket solution has set single-year records for new users and participation in software training sessions, reflecting strong interest among replacement parts distributors and jobbers. Eagle for the Aftermarket is a comprehensive enterprise solution now used in more than 500 automotive and commercial-vehicle parts business locations across the U.S. and Canada.

Epicor this year has added dozens of users of the Eagle for the Aftermarket solution through new on premises and hosted implementations. The company has also expanded its training offering to help aftermarket businesses leverage the Eagle solution in boosting customer service levels, improving inventory efficiency, streamlining back-office operations, and implementing leading-edge pricing strategies and promotions. This training includes free webinars, periodic regional user group meetings, the popular annual Eagle for the Aftermarket “Boot Camp,” and web-based “Training on Demand” videos.

“When I have people move into new jobs, I assign them a series of Training on Demand modules—from point of sale (POS) to back office—and they can quickly get up to speed,” said Doug Borland, president, Western Bearing and Auto Parts of Manitoba, Canada. “The training is very professionally done and well organized—a great use of our peoples’ time.”

The need to simplify back-office processes was a driving factor in Portland Transmission Warehouse’s move to the Eagle for the Aftermarket software, according to Ross Bradshaw, president of the Portland, Ore.-based parts wholesaler. “There’s so much automation in Eagle, so much flexibility, and so much custom reporting—all of these things we hadn’t experienced before that have saved us time and money. This software has worked seamlessly from day one.”
