The U.S. Department of Commerce’s U.S. Commercial Service is pleased to announce that it has granted Trade Fair Certification status to Messe Frankfurt to organize the official United States Exhibitor Pavilion at PAACE Automechanika Mexico 2010, July 14 - 16, 2010 held at the Centro Banamex Fairgrounds, Mexico City, Mexico.

PAACE Automechanika Mexico is the leading automotive trade show in Mexico and Central America.  Held annually in Mexico City, the event draws thousands of attendees in the automotive industry. Product groups showcased at PAACE include: Parts & Systems, Accessories & Tuning, Repair & Maintenance, IT & Management and Service Station & Car Wash. PAACE Automechanika Mexico has become a growing platform for automotive business in the Mexican and Central American markets. PAACE Automechanika 2008 hosted 13,611 attendees from 30 countries as well as 531 exhibitors from 15 countries.

In the first and second tier supply chain sector, the best export opportunities for U.S. firms are: OEM parts and components, hybrid vehicle components, suspension systems, pre-assembly components such as small and progressive stampings, electronic components, equipment and specialized tooling. U.S. parts, component and equipment manufacturers will see increased export sales as global assembly plants are being relocated to Mexico. The large number of used vehicles that are being imported provides ample opportunities for exports of repair equipment and replacement parts.

Through certification, the U.S. Commercial Service recognizes the capability and exhibition experience of Messe Frankfurt to organize a world class pavilion for U.S. exhibitors to showcase products and services for the automotive aftermarket industry.  The U.S. Pavilion serves as an excellent venue for U.S. companies to establish and expand overseas distribution, generate sales leads, evaluate competitors, and to work with U.S. Commercial Service Trade Specialists to identify potential buyers and partners.

The U.S. Commercial Service helps U.S. companies establish international business relationships. The agency’s global network includes locations in more than 100 U.S. cities and in American consulates and embassies in nearly 80 countries.

U.S. Commercial Service staff from the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City will be available at PAACE Automechanika Mexico 2010 to assist U.S. firms with their export needs, and to facilitate contacts between U.S. exhibitors and business visitors.
