Top suppliers demonstrate confidence in Automechanika Shanghai

Automechanika Shanghai, Asia’s largest trade fair for automotive parts, equipment and services, will take place Dec. 8-11, 2010 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Organized by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd and the China National Automotive Industry International Corporation (CNAICO), the sixth edition expects to attract a record-breaking 2,800 exhibitors and more than 45,000 professional buyers.

The show once again underlines its position as an international industry service hub for the automotive industry with nine overseas pavilions from France, Germany, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand and the USA already confirmed.

In addition, many well-known manufacturers and suppliers of parts and components, repair and maintenance equipment segments are exhibiting at the show. Parts and components exhibitors showcasing their latest products and innovations at the show will include Asia-Pacific Mechanical and Electronics, Chen Hsong, China and Canton Clutch, Dayco, Dow Corning, Fiamm, Galaxy, Hangzhou Westlake, Honeywell, Jingang, Raybestos Powertrain, Qianjiang Spring, SORL Auto Parts, Unipoint, Wuxi Weifu, Zhejiang VIE and Xinyi Automobile Fitting.

Taiwanese company Unipoint Electric Mfg Co Ltd is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of starters and alternators, temperature control units and wiper blades. The company aims to showcase their latest products and increase brand awareness, particularly in the Chinese market.

“Asia is one of the most important markets and sourcing bases. As the show is an important global aftermarket platform which assists us to make direct contact with diversified buyers, this is a must attend show in our schedule,” says Michael Lin, Rotating Electrical, director of sales.

China’s biggest diesel pump and parts manufacturer, Wuxi Weifu High-Tech Co Ltd is listed in the Chinese Top 500 Enterprises.

“Automechanika Shanghai is one of China’s best automotive trade fairs which helps us find new customers, maintain relationships with existing customers and learn about the latest market trends,” says Dong Zhaocai, Export Manager. “China and the Asian markets have huge potential and we are developing a strong presence in the emerging East and Central Asia markets.”

Also exhibiting their latest products is Fiamm S.p.A from Italy, the world's leading supplier of car horns. They supply their products to many important automobile manufacturers such as BMW Group, Chrysler, Fiat Group, Ferrari, Mercedes Benz, Mitsubishi and Volkswagen Group.

“We had a successful event in the last edition and so we are exhibiting again. This year, we will introduce our trump horn and disc horn at the show,” says Daniele Brusaporco, sales manager aftermarket.

Repair and maintenance equipment exhibitors Balance, Bright Technology, Corghi, Dali, Ever-eternal, Giuliano, ITW, Launch Tech, Piusi, Stanley, Xiang Hong and Yingkou Liming are optimistic about the Chinese automotive market.

Giuliano Automotive Equipment (Suzhou) Co Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Giuliano SPA from Italy. Specializing in tire changers for cars and trucks, pneumatic platform lifts, electro-hydraulic lift, wheel-balancers, bodyshop and testing equipment, the company will show their new equipment, Crossage, which is an automatic tilt-back touchless tire changer.

“Exhibiting at a trade fair is an important marketing tool to promote our products especially in the Chinese market,” says Alice Yang, sales manager. “Chinese automotive consumption grew 40 percent year on year and we expect the market will continue to increase steadily. Despite the present economic climate, China and Asian markets are less affected.”

ITW Performance Polymers and Fluids, China is a subsidiary of the US company ITW. The company produces adhesives, sealants, encapsulating and sanitation materials and lubricants.

“China will soon become the world’s largest automotive repair and maintenance equipment market. Buyers are interested in quality products and services and the market is more competitive now. Automechanika Shanghai is a good opportunity to help our buyers learn more about our products and services,” says Jason Xiao, sales manager.

Sharing a similar view was Ever-eternal Automotive Equipment Co Ltd which will showcase their latest lift at the show. Mr Wang Kui, Manager said: “Automechanika Shanghai is a gateway to the international automotive market. It gathers buyers and professionals from around the globe and provides an excellent platform to share the latest technical information which helps develop the repair and maintenance equipment industry.”

Automechanika Shanghai is one of 14 global Automechanika fairs held in Asia, Europe, North America, South America and Africa.
