Collision Care rose to the top because it invests heavily in training for managers and employees from every imaginable source: I-CAR, vendors, AMI and OEMs. It invests in traditional and digital marketing, and is deeply involved in the local community. It offers full mechanical and collision repairs. The shop’s philosophy “customer first, process second” is built on leadership training that is focused on coaching, teaching and mentoring.

“This thinking has helped Collision Care expand from a single location in 1993 to seven shops in the Philadelphia/New Jersey area,” says Bruce Adams, ABRN managing editor. “Even after 80 years in business their focus is still on building from the ground up and striving to offer the best repair and service possible.”

Collision Care will be featured on the cover of the December ABRN issue. The magazine will include articles on the nine additional shops that made the 2012 Top Shops list.

They are:

  • Car Crafters, Albuquerque, N.M.
  • Car West Auto Body, Santa Clara, Calif.
  • County Line Auto Body. Howell, N.J.
  • D-Patrick Body and Glass, Evansville, Ind.
  • G&C Auto Body, Santa Rosa, Calif.
  • Gullo Ford Collision Center. Conroe, Texas.
  • Moody's Collision Center, Gorham, Maine.
  • Nagy's Collision Specialists, Doylestown, Ohio.
  • O'Rielly Collision Center, Tucson, Ariz.

“The quality of shops that entered this year was higher than in any year past. This is a true testament to the number of owners in the United States who realize that quality training, management, operations and marketing are important in surviving in today’s economy,” Adams says. “Owners are making their businesses better, and we are proud that we can showcase these shops, and others throughout the year, to continue to make the industry better.”
