The Martin Senour Company has come to the aid of Eastside Technical Center of Lexington, Kentucky with a waterborne equipment donation through the Collision Repair Education Foundation.

Eastside Technical Center applied for the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s 2010 Ultimate Collision Education Makeover $50,000 school grant and noted within their application the need for waterborne equipment. The donation includes Martin Senour® VORTEX® mix system, a PROSPECTOR® color reference tool, and other waterborne equipment equaling roughly $14,000 for the school. This updated technology will benefit both current and future collision students attending Eastside Technical Center.

Eastside Technical Center Collision Repair Instructors Tim Trusty and Buddy Griffin said, “This donation means quite a lot to the Collision Repair programs here at Eastside Technical Center. We would like to thank Martin Senour and NAPA for their contributions regarding the waterborne paint system. They brought us everything from a computer/ cabinet, air line dryer to the mixing bank with the toners to the air drying movement system.

Ray Stephens, who represents Martin Senour, has been instrumental in the donation and installation. Ray is coordinating Martin Senour® product and process training for us as well as our students in the new waterborne system. Now we as instructors can teach the most up to date technology in paint mixing and color matching. This would not have been possible without this generous donation.”

“For 20 years now the Collision Repair Education Foundation has been providing philanthropic and educational assistance to further the collision repair industry. At Martin Senour, we’re proud to be able to assist them in this important endeavor,” said Jeff Green, Director of Sales for Martin Senour. “We’re excited that the students of Eastside Technical Center will have the opportunity to learn and train on Martin Senour’s latest waterborne technologies as they prepare to become the collision repair experts of tomorrow.”

Collision Repair Education Foundation Executive Director Scott Kruger said, “We would like to thank The Martin Senour Company for being able to come to the aid of Eastside Technical Center through this equipment donation which is providing their school and students with current technology. It is through donations such as this that the industry will be able to upgrade its educational opportunities and enhance its own future by allowing future professionals of the industry to learn with current tools, equipment, and technology. Through Eastside Technical Center completing the Makeover application, the Foundation was able to identify a need for additional assistance and through the support of Martin Senour, this donation was made possible.”
