DuPont Protection Technologies is conducting the DuPont Tyvek “Dirty Work” Photo Contest to show how workers use Tyvek garments to help keep safe and clean while performing the dirtiest jobs. Tyvek provides breathable barrier protection and is used in paint shops.

All people who wear Tyvek® garments on the job and are over the age of 18 are eligible to enter the contest. Entrants are asked to take an original photo of themselves in their filthiest state wearing a Tyvek® garment after completing their “dirty work,” then submit the photo to the contest website; entrants also can submit their photos online via a mobile device. Entrants’ photos will be shown in an online gallery.

“Tyvek® offers lightweight and durable protection to workers around the world as they perform hard work in rough conditions,” said William F. Weber, vice president – DuPont Protection Technologies, North America. “We encourage Tyvek® wearers to show us how they use Tyvek® garments to protect themselves from on-the-job hazards.”

Entries will be judged based on how well the Tyvek® garment and “dirty work” project are portrayed in the photo. The photo should not show or depict a person in danger or in unsafe conditions. Winners will be announced at the National Safety Council Congress and Expo in Philadelphia in November 2011. The grand prize winner will receive a NASCAR® Racing Experience weekend trip for two. The first runner up will receive a $500 American Express gift card and the next two runners up will each receive a $250 American Express gift card.
