For a second consecutive year, Minneapolis-based LaMettry's Collision has donated a vehicle via the National Auto Body Council's (NABC's) Recycled Rides program. LaMettry's recently selected U.S. Army veteran SSG. Scott Adams to be the 2013 recipient of this special gift.
Adams served the United States in both Afghanistan and Iraq through six deployments. In Iraq, Adams' Humvee vehicle struck two anti-tank mines laced with white phosphorus, resulting in significant personal injuries. Today, Adams spends numerous hours helping other veterans adapting back to civilian life.
LaMettry’s, along with many local vendor partners, recently completed and delivered a fully refurbished 2008 Chevrolet Uplander to Adams and his family. Among those taking part in the presentation were representatives from the Bloomington City Council, Beyond the Yellow Ribbon and the Wounded Warrior Project.
