In a continuing effort to introduce Georgia Collision Industry Association (GCIA) members to candidates running for the Georgia Office of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner, GCIA scheduled candidates to speak at its June 23 meeting.
This office and the insurance industry have a major influence on repairers’ businesses and livelihoods, said Howard Batchelor, executive director of GCIA. Members can meet the candidates, learn more about them and ask questions that will help them make an informed decision at election time.
Candidates Seth Harp and Stephen Northington have confirmed they will attend the meeting. Rick Collum also is expected to attend. Tom Knox has inquired but not confirmed his attendance.
The meeting will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Smyrna Community Center in Smyrna, Ga.
Batchelor is asking repairers to RSVP via e-mail to [email protected] or by calling (770) 367-9816 with the number of attendees.
