These educational offerings will cover topics including repair authorization vs. repair contracts, job costing, ROI, and interpretation of legal documents in three Saturday sessions spread over a 10-week period.

"The CCRE has made a name for itself over the years as a group of consultants who work diligently to help shops be the best they can be, " said AASP/MA President Rick Starbard. "As with past CCRE educational offerings, this series of seminars has been met with rave reviews in locations such as Cleveland, Philadelphia and Birmingham, Ala. We knew there was an incredible value in the information being presented in these seminars, but the reality is that many repairers can't afford to spend extra time away from the shop traveling. So we worked with CCRE to develop a plan and bring these great seminars right to AASP/MA members' own backyards."

All three sessions will be held at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel of Marlborough, and will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

"We are proud to be offering this entire educational series for the extremely low one-time cost of $495 for the first shop representative, " Starbard said. "This represents a savings of well over $3,000 off the course's regular price. While the information presented in these seminars is well worth any price, when offered at a fraction of its original cost, attending the course becomes a no- brainer. "

Additional attendees from the same company will be admitted at the discounted rate of $295 per person. "Since transforming one's business may take more than one person, we encourage shop owners to bring administrative employees, managers or other influential shop members as well, " Starbard notes.

CCRE's "Level One " presentation will kick off on September 15 and will ask attendees, "How did we get here, and where are we going? " Level Two, scheduled for October 20, will continue the interactive discussion, focusing on helping participants to run their shops without third-party interference and take back control of the business. The third seminar, slated for December 1, will be facilitated by longtime automotive industry attorney James Castleman and will focus on helping shops better understand legal issues including assignment of proceeds/rights, as well as various documentation and regulations surrounding the auto repair industry. By the end of the three sessions, attendees will gain a new perspective on running a successful, independent shop; a blueprint for putting appropriate administrative and operating procedures in place; and the legal documents needed to comply specifically with Massachusetts laws and regulations that can be used every day.

"We are extremely excited to be hosting this seminar series for local repairers, " Starbard says. "We look forward to working with CCRE in the coming weeks to show our membership new ways to look at doing business and being successful."
