Quality Claims Solutions, a provider of services to more than 40 insurance carriers nationwide, is releasing AutoBodyAlliance.com during NACE 2009. The AutoBody Alliance program is designed to assist auto repair facilities by providing a free online marketing channel to consumers, as well as the option to participate in nationwide managed direct repair networks for smaller and/or regional insurance carriers.

"Since inception, the main goal for AutoBody Alliance focused on providing value to all parties involved in the automotive repair process. Unlike many existing third-party body shop networks, AutoBody Alliance focuses as much on the general consumer looking for a repair facility as it does for the insurance carrier,” says said Steve Bruce, President and CEO of Quality Claims Solutions. “Repair facilities are able to market themselves online directly to consumers and insurance carriers alike. Insurance carriers will find AutoBody Alliance a complete turnkey network repair solution, which provides additional coverage to existing alternatives.”

During the first week of the pre-launch period, more than 1,500 repair facilities claimed or registered their shops. It is designed for repair facilities that are looking for a new way to market themselves.

The AutoBody Alliance program allows repair facilities to maintain an online profile where consumers are able to see photos of the facility, shop amenities, directory of services, certifications, map with directions, link to their Web site, schedule repairs and send questions. Repair facilities will also have the option to apply online for certification if they choose, allowing them to transmit critical claims data to respective insurance carriers and obtain exposure in search results on the AutoBodyAlliance.com Web site.
AutoBody Alliance does not charge a per-transaction fee to repair facilities.

Insurance carriers can take advantage of the fully managed nationwide direct repair network, allowing them to focus more resources on core initiatives, while benefiting from a maintained source of repair facilities. Carriers are able to interact directly with shops electronically through the AutoBodyAlliance.com Web site.

"We are excited about the AutoBody Alliance program which will allow us the ability to serve our customers better by providing informational tools to the consumer, as well as to the repair facilities,” says LaRon Herr, president of Northern Plains Insurance.

Repair facilities interested in adding their online listing at no cost can visit www.AutoBodyAlliance.com to "claim" their shop or add to their listing. AutoBody Alliance will begin taking applications for repair facility certification the first week of November during NACE 2009 (booth N3240) and will be launching the managed direct repair network Jan. 1, 2010.
