HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. – Jerome Goodson of Fox Valley Technical College located in Appleton, Wis., is the winner of a Car-O-Liner CR 55 Aluminum Stud Welder and Dent Repair Tools at NACE 2008 thanks to a giveaway sponsored by Car-O-Liner, I-CAR, the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), I-CAR Education Foundation and the National Automotive Technician’s Education Foundation (NATEF). For the fifth year in a row, these organizations have co-sponsored a drawing at NACE.

“I am thrilled to be the winner of the Car-O-Liner aluminum spot welding equipment,” says Goodson, who is a collision repair/business and industry instructor at Fox Valley Technical College. Goodson is donating the equipment to the Collision Repair and Refinishing Program at Fox Valley, where he says the students will be able to polish their skills in aluminum repair.

“I was fortunate to have graduated from Fox Valley Technical College in the late 1980s, one of the first schools in the United States to use I-CAR curriculum,” he says. “Early in my career, I learned the value of I-CAR Training and ASE certification, and how each can compliment a technician’s skills and professional growth. Car-O-Liner, I-CAR, the I-CAR Education Foundation, ASE, and NATEF should all be applauded, as their generosity demonstrates different organizations working together to ensure that the collision industry continues to move in a positive direction.”

To be eligible, an entrant must be I-CAR-trained as well as ASE-certified, or attend an ASE-certified NATEF career and technical school or college which also utilizes the I-CAR Live curriculum.
