To date, H&V has donated 16 vehicles to veterans, veteran families and individuals facing special challenges.
H&V Collision Center, the largest independent and family-owned collision repair company in the Capital Region, was recently recognizing by Rensselaer County and the City of Troy for donations to veteran causes.

The Rensselaer County Legislature adopted a resolution recognizing H&V for the donation of three refurbished vehicles to three veterans at a Tri-City ValleyCats minor league baseball game this past summer. Rensselaer County, which is located just east of the City of Albany in upstate New York, also noted H&V’s support for other veteran causes.

The Troy City Council also recognized H&V for the veteran donations, and noted H&V’s origins in the Collar City. H&V was founded in Troy in the early 1970s on Oakwood Avenue, growing to today include seven locations.

To date, H&V has donated 16 vehicles to veterans, veteran families and individuals facing special challenges.

H&V representatives, including founder Vartan Jerian Sr. and members of the Jerian family, were on hand for the presentation of the resolution by the Rensselaer County Legislature and the resolution by the Troy City Council.

“All of us at H&V Collision Center appreciate the recognition from Rensselaer County and the City of Troy for H&V’s contributions and support for veterans and veteran organizations,” said H&V’s Vartan Jerian Jr.

“H&V is proud to have been a strong partner for veterans who have given so much to defend our freedom and security. Just as we are honored to support veterans, we are equally proud to employ veterans throughout the seven H&V Collision Center locations,” added Jerian.

Founded 40-years-ago, H&V has expanded from a two-man operation on Oakwood Avenue in Troy, to the largest independently-owned collision repair business in the Capital Region. H&V Collision Center now operates seven locations in the Capital Region and upstate, including locations in Troy, Queensbury, Saratoga, Colonie, Kingston, Schenectady and Clifton Park.

H&V Collision Center was started in the early 1970s by Vartan Jerian Sr. H&V prides itself on customer service, and has earned a customer satisfaction ranking of over 97 percent. H&V supports many community and charitable organizations, and H&V’s community service was recognized in a December 2012 cover story in the national trade magazine Fender Bender. H&V also implemented new technology and practices to make its four locations more environmentally safe. H&V has also implemented modern management practices that reduced repair times and made its shops more efficient.
