Innovation, design, safety, performance, technology, driver satisfaction and value are key attributes of the annual North American Car and Truck of the Year award-winning vehicles, attributes that are also common to steel-intensive vehicles.
The 2017 Great Designs in Steel Seminar (GDIS), hosted by the Steel Market Development Institute (SMDI) will feature presentations on advanced high-strength steel technologies (AHSS) in those award-winning vehicles, the Chrysler Pacifica (2017 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year) and the Honda Ridgeline (2017 North American Truck of the Year). Also on display is the 2018 Honda Odyssey.
GDIS takes place on May 17, 2017 at Laurel Manor Conference Center in Livonia, Mich. Registration opens at 7 a.m. and welcoming remarks kick off at 8 a.m.
If you are interested in attending, please let me know and I will register you. If you’d like to speak with an SMDI executive, I’d be happy to schedule an interview. More information about the event, including an event agenda can be downloaded here.
