OEConnection launches new application for mechanical shops to buy OEM parts

May 23, 2014
OEConnection launched RepairLink Shop, an online parts ordering solution for shops to purchase OEM mechanical parts from dealerships.
OEConnection LLC, the parts e-commerce technology leader for original equipment manufacturers (OEM) distribution networks, has launched RepairLink Shop, an internet-based, all makes and models parts ordering and fulfillment solution for independent repair facilities (IRF) to source, price and purchase original equipment mechanical parts from automotive dealerships.  Currently, nearly 25,000 IRFs in the United States use the RepairLink technology on a monthly basis. RepairLink Shop features increased functionality for IRFs including improvements to the catalog and order management, providing additional information on parts and enhanced search and catalog browse functions to help repair facilities find parts quicker. In addition, RepairLink Shop has expanded its OEM catalog offerings.  Formerly, catalogs were available for six automotive brands; the solution has now been expanded to include catalogs for 23 automotive brands.  The additional catalogs give IRFs the opportunity to purchase parts from a variety of domestic and foreign automotive manufacturer franchise dealerships all within the same easy-to-use solution.  The new user interface also allows IRFs to take advantage of discount programs and promotions which can be implemented by either the OEM or the individual franchise dealer. “Being able to offer parts buying opportunities for 23 automotive brands means RepairLink Shop truly is a one-stop shop for independent repair facilities,” said Paul Johnson, Senior Vice President & Chief Product Officer for OEConnection.  “We’re excited to offer this improved technology to the nearly 25,000 shops that use our solution each month, as it is best-in-class for ease of use and the ability for shops to take advantage of promotions from automakers and their franchised dealers.  These enhancements help our dealers as well – our research shows that the more OEMs and dealer networks that use RepairLink, the more shops will use RepairLink Shop for all automotive brands they service, providing more high-quality OEM parts and more satisfied consumers.” RepairLink Shop is offered to IRFs at no cost.  A repair facility simply must create an account and select their preferred franchise dealerships to be able to source, price and purchase OEM parts online.  The site is also compatible across multiple browsers, tablets and mobile devices.  IRFs can access RepairLink Shop at www.RepairLinkShop.com.OEConnection LLC OEConnection is the leading parts e-commerce technology provider for OEM distribution networks, serving over 60,000 dealership and repair customers.
